 "Macro photography" 2010-02-21
By Evangelio Gonzalez (Villa Rica, Ga United States)
I have had this camera for several years, I too have Nikon D70 and a Canon EOS KISS X2. I use this camera for Macro photography with a $30 OPTEKA 10X Macro lens,a steady tripod and a $90 flash light with a diffuser.

You can see some of my pictures in the customers pictures. I have save several hundreds or thousands of dollars buying macro lens for my cameras. I can take this camera anywhere I go, the pictures quality is very good if you use only the optical zoom and get pass the tunnel vision of the OPTEKA lens adaptor.

"Still working great after two years" 2010-02-05

This camera is my third digital camera and now is a little outdated because of the 12 megapixel and beyond cameras but it works great and always has. This camera goes EVERYWHERE with us and takes TONS of pictures. Get some extra batteries because this thing is a battery HOG and an SD card. Also, if I leave batteries in the camera when not in use, it drains them very quickly. Not sure why.

"Simple for the simple and complex for the complex..." 2010-01-04

I bought this camera my senior year or high school, right before my senior trip. I needed a camera that was a little more than just a point and shoot cause at that time I was wanting to get a little more into photography. I could not afford a DSLR so I did a bunch of research in the Ultrazoom camera market. I found this one to be the best value for the price. It takes wonderful pictures under the "automatic" setting, which would satisfy the average person wanting to get good picture with a good zoom with good megapixels. But at the same time you can dig a little deeper with the manual settings and unlock a whole new world of photography. I have yet to figure out all of the settings and such since I am just happy taking good pictures under the simple pre-rendered settings that come with the camera. The image stabilization options are great too, which help take even greater pictures. If you are just thinking about getting into photography and are not sure about your commitment to the art, I would recommend this camera as a good companion!

"flash broke, camera no good- less than 2 yrs old" 2009-12-26
By KL (NC)
I bought this camera after Christmas nearly 2 years ago. The colors are pretty good, and the only problem I have had until recently is low-lighting- pictures are not so good with low light, too much noise for me. Recently I have not been able to get the flash to work. I emailed Kodak, and they gave me a number to call. When I called and explained the problem, it was going to cost $!00 to fix it. I only paid a little over $200 for the camera. It is now on Craig's list and I am looking for a replacement...

"Excellent camera, even better price" 2009-12-18

Kodak cameras are an incredible value and this one is no exception. I have never ever taken a single bad picture with it in the several years that I've owned it, and the 12x zoom is a wonderful addition (good enough zoom to take great shots of bears in Yellowstone). Color quality and focus on this one is perfect every time and the image stabilization helps insure that there is no blur. It does go thru regular AA batteries quickly, so you should order the rechargeable ones and a charger from Kodak. With the rechargeable kodak batteries, the battery life is excellent and it's nice to be able to swap in a regular AA's in a pinch if you run down the rechargeables and forgot to bring your charger. The ability to shoot HD video is also a nice bonus at this price point and works well.
