I wanted a slim point and shoot camera that I could take anywhere. Well , this camera has all those attributes, but the picture quality is horrendous. I have a six year old Sony that is only 5 mega pixels that takes much better photographs. Photos taken with this camera in low/indoor light come out grainy. I am not one to return products, but this camera is useless to me, and I am returning it.

We selected this for our eight year old niece after a reading reviews at Amazon and a travel magazine. The travel magazine rated it as one of the best digital cameras to purchase for eight year olds. In a couple Amazon reviews, there were some knocks against it when purchasing for children. So far we have no experienced those issues. Our niece enjoys the camera and being the photogragher. She has had no problems working it.

My husband bought me this camera for Mother's Day and it lasted until Martin Luther King Day. The pictures have never been very good, the features do not work as described, some pictures turn out very dark, and now the lens is stuck open. There is no usable troubleshooting on the Kodak site. All recommendations say throw it away. I have had Olympus and Cannon digital cameras for years without any issues. This camera has locked up, like it is now, several times; however in the past connecting up to the PC immediately reset to camera. Not this time.

I bought this camera for convenience, to take places I didn't want to take my bigger camera. I was really happy with the picture quality and the 3" LCD, the cool color was just a bonus. I didn't look that carefully at the reviews for this camera (my own fault) to find out some of the common problems that people had shared. It not lasting very long, making strange noises and even though I thought it took really good pictures, a lot of people disagree. My problem started with the cameras second day of use. The camera started making grinding and clicking sounds when trying to focus, it was then that I read the reviews and decided before it quit altogether, I would return it. I haven't replaced yet, but will look more closely at the reviews next time.
